This essay was removed from the common application, but a lot of schools are keeping it on their supplements. You should use this opportunity to show your passion in the activity. Tell them the why and how of being a member of whatever activity you participated in. Use anecdotes and examples to show how it helped you developed and how it specifically impacted you. This essay is short, but important in helping the college understand your non-academic side. If you plan on continuing in college, explain why. In the end, the most important thing is to make sure your voice and passion comes through in your writing.
